3D Building Design
At NorthStar Engineering we do all of our building design using 3d modeling software. This has several advantages over using a 2d CAD program.
We actually create a complete model of the building, and it is from that model that all the building plans are created. The model and all views (floor plans, elevations, etc) are connected so that when a change is made in one view, that change is reflected in all of the views automatically. This saves a great deal of time by not having to update each individual view, and it insures greater accuracy when creating building plans from those views.
The 3d model gives us the ability to visualize the completed building and make sure all of the components work together properly. Working out details such as this in the model can prevent having to make costly and time-consuming modifications in the field during construction.
We can also export the 3D model to a file which can be sent to you by email. Using a free downloadable viewer, you can look at the building model from any angle, and even take a look inside, actually “seeing” the building before it is built.
Our 3d modeling enables us to provide colored renderings, photorealistic renderings, 3d walk-throughs, or export a file to create a steriolithographic 3d (physical) model of your home or business to meet all of your presentation needs.
The best part of our 3d building design services? Although we are providing our clients much more by using 3d modeling, the price is still very competitive. For most projects, the costs are usually the same or lower than competitors using 2d drafting techniques!
