Apple Tree Village

NorthStar Engineering performed a boundary survey for the Apple Tree Village Mobile Home Park in Paradise, CA.  The property encompassing Apple Tree Village Mobile Park is a 25.4 acre parcel created by deed and described as aliquot portions, acreage portions, and metes and bounds description of Section 12, Township 22 North, Range 3 East, Mount Diablo Meridian.

NorthStar Engineering's responsibilities and methodology included the following:

  • Obtain a preliminary title report, obtain the deeds for all adjoining parcels, research BLM field notes and plats; research all existing maps of records in the area; research existing right-of-way maps and improvement plans for the area with the Town of Paradise and County of Butte.
  • Search for existing monuments of record.
  • Perform a control survey, traversing the perimeter of the project area and locating all found monuments.  Due to the tall trees in Paradise, GPS was not a viable solution and all survey control work was done conventionally with a Topocon GPT 3002 total station.  The control traverse was over 6,500 lineal feet and closed with a precision of 1:62,000.
  • Compile record boundary data and resolve to record monuments.
  • Set permanent monuments at the exterior property corners.
  • File a Record of Survey with the County of Butte.
