Biological Assessments
NorthStar Environmental routinely develops Biological Resources Assessments. Our staff have proven to be highly adept at
accurately identifying biological and botanical resources in remote and/or hard to access areas and making accurate determinations. Only experienced biologists and botanists conduct our biological resource analyses and surveys. We differentiate ourselves from the competition by producing biological resources assessments that integrate with CEQA and state and federal permitting requirements. Additionally, NorthStar Environmental prepares Biological Assessments (BA) for the specific use in assisting our clients and agencies with Section 7 consultation per the Endangered Species Act, if direct impacts are expected to occur to threatened and/or endangered species. The BA will be prepared in accordance with legal requirements set forth under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act (16 U.S.C. 1536 (c)).
* A complete mitigation plan and methodology is presented in all of our BA’s. Our regulatory staff keep informed on all policy changes that affect the way information and data are presented in crafting a BA.
Constraints and Opportunities Analysis
NorthStar Environmental will conduct a Constraints and Opportunities Analysis of a property to provide a working baseline and create a more cost‐effective and time‐efficient approach to a potential project. This document will identify the potential for special‐status species and their habitats, along with probable permitting requirements. This analysis is beneficial when developing conceptual plans for a property or determining the feasibility of future projects.
