Building Design
The building design team at NorthStar Engineering has experience in both residential and commercial design, using a variety of materials including ICFs, SIPs, and cold formed steel, as well as traditional wood framing and log homes. Projects include office buildings, retail centers, storage facilities, industrial and agricultural buildings, recreational and restroom facilities, custom homes, and remodels and additions. We can help you with ADA accessibility requirements and universal design.
At NorthStar Engineering, we are committed to sustainability in building design. We have LEED and Build-It-Green accredited staff, and experience with energy efficient design. We can use energy modeling and analysis during the early design phase to optimize energy savings over the life of the building. Our Certified Energy Plans Examiner (CEPE) can provide energy calculations for most states in the US.
All of the building design at NorthStar Engineering is done using 3d modeling software, which greatly increases the speed and accuracy of the design and documentation process. Besides being able to create a 3d model of the project, we can provide presentation drawings in a variety of media and styles.
