Fastener Spacing – The distance between centers of fasteners measured along a line joining their centers.

Footing – A structural member used to support columns and walls for the purposes of transmitting and distributing their loads to the soil in such a way that the load bearing capacity of the soil is not exceeded, excessive settlement, differential settlement and / or rotation are prevented and adequate safety against overturning and sliding is maintained.
