Parallel Strand Lumber – A composite of wood strand elements with wood fibers primarily oriented along the length of the member. The least dimension of the strands shall not exceed 0.25” and the average length shall be a minimum of 150 times the least dimension.
Perforated Shear Wall – A wood structural panel sheathed wall with openings, that has not been specifically designed and detailed for force transfer around openings.
Permit – An official document or certificate issued by the authority having jurisdiction which authorizes performance of a specified activity.
Plywood – A wood structural panel comprised of plies of wood veneer arranged in cross-aligned layers. The plies are bonded with adhesive that cures on application of heat and pressure.
Prefabricated Wood I-Joist – A structural member manufactured using sawn or structural composite lumber flanges and wood structural panel webs bonded together with exterior exposure adhesives, forming an “I” cross-sectional shape.
Project Specifications – The written documents that specify requirements for a project in accordance with the service parameters and other specific criteria established by the owner or the owner’s agent. |
