Liability Insurance

 It is important that your design professional have and maintain general and professional

 liability insurance throughout the course of your project. It is also important that their

 policy limits are high enough such that there would be sufficient coverage for any

 potential claim.

 Questions to ask a design professional prior to bringing them on board for your project

 include:

1. Do you have general and professional liability insurance?
2. Who is your carrier?
3. What are your policy limits?
4. Would you be willing to provide me with evidence of these items?
