California Title 24 Energy Calculations
California's building efficiency standards (along with those for energy efficient appliances) have saved more than $56 billion in electricity and natural gas costs since 1978. It is estimated the standards will save an additional $23 billion by 2013.

In 1978, in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California’s energy consumption, the state of California established the Energy Efficient Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings. These standards are outlined in Title 24, Chapter 6 of the California Code of Regulations. In order to show that the building, remodel or addition being proposing meets or exceeds the energy standards, a document, often referred to as Title 24 energy calculations, must be submitted with the building permit.
Northstar Engineering can provide California Title 24 energy calculations for your next residential or commercial project no matter how large or small. Our Certified Energy Plans Examiner (CEPE) can help you find ways to make you building more energy efficient.
