FHA Foundation Certification

NorthStar Engineering can perform a foundation observation of your manufactured home’s permanent foundation AND provide you with an observation letter stamped and signed by a licensed engineer.

All manufactured homes seeking FHA Title II mortgage insured loans must be attached to a permanent foundation as defined in FHA/HUD Publication "Permanent Foundations Guide For Manufactured Housing" dated September 1996; and, of course, state and local regulations.

What we will need from you prior to beginning:
  • Signed contract 
  • Full payment in advance 
  • Copy of recorded 433A document 
  • Copy of original foundation system plans

Our fee’s are based on our current charge our rates and include our time to perform the observation and compile an observation letter (including travel time). Our timeline to provide the observation letter is usually within one (1) week of receiving the items listed above. Fees are typically as noted below:
