Job Descriptions
The following job descriptions are provided to help give guidance and structure to the NorthStar Engineering organization. The main intent of these descriptions is to show a career path that is available to all employees. The definition given for each position together with the range of expected duties are relatively general descriptions for what are many times very dynamic positions and work conditions. Often times people will be asked to work outside their current job description, sometimes above and sometimes below.
The qualifications listed are to be considered minimum requirements for advancement and placement to the position. But, it should be noted that advancement with experience (time served) alone is not a guarantee. Proficiency must be demonstrated. It should also be noted that conditions and opportunities may arise that require management to waive some of these qualifications for the good of the company.
Advancement can only occur if there is an open position available. NorthStar Engineering is committed to continued growth of the company in order to provide increasing opportunities for new positions and individual career growth.
Salary ranges are shown for each description. These ranges were effective January 1, 2006, and are to be considered as approximate ranges for annual compensation exclusive of any bonuses or paid overtime. With the exception of Senior and Managing level positions all employees will continue to be paid on an hourly basis. Salary ranges may be adjusted on an annual basis related to Standard Hourly Rates.
