Providing "one stop" service for land development is a hallmark of NorthStar Engineering. Subdivisions, commercial developments and building design all require the experience and teamwork we have developed throughout our history. We assist developers, from small to big, beginning with the planning and entitlement process and continuing through site surveys, design, mapping, construction surveys and lot corners.
NorthStar Engineering's experience and knowledge of local development regulations, unique constraints, and the personnel at local government allow us to assist the developer in each unique project. We have significant experience with difficult projects ranging from exclusive gated communities on canyon view bluffs to "traditional neighborhood developments" incorporating feature rich homes on small lots. Our vast experience in land development allows us to guide you through the often tricky planning & entitlement process.
At the beginning of 2009 NorthStar Engineering acquired Gallaway Consulting (a local environmental consulting firm) to complete our in-house range of service offerings for developers. This addition allows developers to get a good upfront assessment of possible environmental issues & mitigations and allows for enhanced ability to avoid costly mitigations in the planning process.
NorthStar Engineering is on the cutting edge of responsible earth friendly development and is pleased to be on the design teams for both Meriam Park (in the LEED Neighborhood Development Pilot program) and Habitat for Humanity 16th Street Subdivision (1st LEED homes to be built in Butte County). We can help you to build responsibly too, with over 6 LEED accredited professionals on staff we know the in and outs of green construction and can help avoid common costly errors.
