Lot Line Adjustments

Lot Line Adjustments are required to alter common property lines between four or fewer existing adjoining parcels. Some examples would be relocating an existing property line to an existing fence line or adjusting an existing property line to go around an existing building or other structure. Another example would be relocating an existing property line to acquire additional acreage for development purposes such as a Subdivision Map or Parcel Map. Lot Line Adjustments are excluded from the Subdivision Map Act and are processed through the appropriate County or City Public Agency. The Public Agency reviews Lot Line Adjustments to ensure that local standards for items such as parcel size, setbacks, and access are maintained. This process may require a Record of Survey.

NorthStar Engineering has processed and completed a multitude of Lot Line Adjustments. NorthStar Engineering will strive to work with the client and Public Agency to allow the process to move at a timely and cost effective manner.
