Meriam Park Subdivision

A uniquely urban 240-acre mixed use development on East 20th Street in Chico.  The project consists of approximately 1500 homes and over a 1,000,000 sf of office, retail, & commercial on 240 acres.  The majority of the project is multi story attached homes and business with and alley access to garages and rear of buildings. This project includes Tentative Mapping and entitlement processing; multi-phased subdivision mapping;  offsite improvements; road widening, storm drain main with outfall, and utility relocations, roundabout design, bridge construction, and a significant environmental mitigations.  Contract amount to date:  in excess of $400,000 NorthStar Engineering’s responsibilities and methodology included the following:
Full boundary survey and resolution.  Full topographic survey over the entire project site including a detailed topographic survey of Little Chico Creek which bisects the property.  A portion of the topographic data was gathered through aerial photogrametery.  Northstar conducted the original control traverse and located the photo points for the flight.
The first construction phase began in 2009 and NorthStar provided construction staking services to both the developer and the builder of the project for street construction and for on-lot pad grading.
