Municipal Infrastructure

NorthStar Engineering has provided engineering services to governmental agencies since the inception of the firm. Our staff includes engineers with backgrounds in transportation, roundabout design, wastewater, drainage, traffic signal design, and other vital public works functions. We have designed public infrastructure including street reconstruction, major storm drain outfalls, sewer mains, including lift stations, traffic signals, and bike paths. Our recent experience includes interactive public meetings building consensus for traffic calming features.

NorthStar Engineering is currently serving as consulting engineer for the Thermalito Water and Sewer District. Additionally, our experience includes stream bank stabilization projects for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (formerly Soil Conservation Service) after a major flood event in 1997. Several dozen homes and miles of stream were protected after this national disaster.

Our client base includes the City of Chico, City of Oroville, City of Redding, City of Orland, County of Butte, County of Tehama, Town of Paradise, Butte Community College, Paradise Unified School District, Durham Unified School District, Chico Parks and Recreation District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Forest Service.
