James Stevens PLS, Principal, CA PLS 6050 (1988)
Jim is a senior partner and principle at NorthStar Engineering. He has been with NorthStar Engineering since 1983 and has extensive experience in all phases of land surveying. This experience includes a high concentration in planning and dealing with local agencies. Jim is also LEED Accredited.
James M. Herrick PLS, Senior Land Surveyor, CA PLS 5616 (1986), NV PLS 9451 (1991)
Jim is a business partner in NorthStar Engineering, and currently serves as Survey Department Manager. He has been with NorthStar Engineering since 1987 and has served as their primary land surveyor since that date. Jim has over thirty years of land surveying experience in California and in addition to experience in other areas of the country. This experience covers nearly all areas of the field of land surveying with a heavy emphasis in boundary surveying.
Michael Mays PLS, Associate Surveyor, PLS 6967 (1993), CFedS No. 1019 (2007)
Mike is the Associate Land Surveyor at NorthStar Engineering, and serves as project manager for a wide variety of surveying projects. He has over 22 years experience in all aspects of surveying as related to commercial and residential development, subdivisions, title surveys, construction surveying, and municipal public works projects. Mike was a member of the initial beta test group for the Certified Federal Surveyor program developed by the Bureau of Land Management.
Mark R. Herrick PLS, Assistant Land Surveyor, CA PLS 8323 (2007)
Mark has been working at NorthStar Engineering since 1998. He acquired his California Professional Land Surveyor Licenses in 2007. He has extensive knowledge with both office and field hardware and software including AutoCAD, GPS, Total Station, and robotic equipment. He has knowledge in boundary determination, legal descriptions, construction calculations, ALTA Surveys, and local processing procedures.
