What is an ALTA Survey?

An ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey is a comprehensive boundary survey that adheres to the national standards adopted by American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors (formerly the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping).  Specifically designed to satisfy the particular needs of lenders, corporations and title companies for the development of commercial properties, ALTA surveys impose a more stringent set of requirements than typical boundary surveys.

Meeting the national standards adopted by American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors, NorthStar has an established process for preparing ALTA Surveys that depict parcel boundaries, improvements, easements, rights-of-way, and other elements that may impact land ownership, such as encroachments and unrecorded interests or uses. This detailed information is conveyed to title companies in a way that ensures that all required, and optional, elements of an ALTA Survey are accurately mapped and clearly discerned.

NorthStar Engineering’s Land Survey has a track record for responding to a Client’s ALTA Survey request within two-weeks from notice to proceed to submittal of the signed, sealed ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey. We have also been known to provide surveys in even less time to meet our Client’s needs.

From a basic vacant parcel to complex, fully developed commercial developments, NorthStar Engineering’s Land Survey Team has a proven reputation for providing cost effective and timely ALTA Surveys.  As a testament to our excellent reputation, title companies routinely recommend us to their clients.
