Nick Hale

Associate Survey Technician

Nick Hale joined NorthStar in February 2025 as an Associate Survey Technician. A native of Dublin, California, he earned his Associate of Arts degree from Las Positas College in Livermore. Before joining NorthStar, Nick worked in the land surveying division of a civil engineering firm in Washington, bringing valuable experience to his role at NorthStar. He and his wife relocated to Chico for its proximity to Folsom, where they first met, making it an ideal place to call home.

Nick was drawn to NorthStar not only for its location but also for the welcoming atmosphere he experienced during the interview process. He appreciates the camaraderie among his colleagues and values the chance to collaborate across disciplines, gaining exposure to the broader operations of the firm. Nick is proud to be part of a team where he feels supported, challenged, and aligned with his career goals.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending quality time with his family and discovering new places together. A movie enthusiast, he thinks Groundhog Day deserves a sequel. One of his favorite memories is meeting Guy Fieri at Tex Wasabi’s in Sacramento—sharing a drink, snapping a photo, and being struck by how down-to-earth the celebrity chef was in person.
