Associate Survey Technician

Jason Krasner joined NorthStar in November 2024 as an Associate Survey Technician. Originally from San Diego, he relocated to Northern California at 19 and was drawn to Chico for its rare mix of vibrant community and natural beauty. Before joining NorthStar, Jason gained valuable hands-on experience working with a licensed land surveyor on the Mendocino Coast, building a strong foundation for his current role. He encourages anyone considering NorthStar to be ready to join a well-rounded, supportive team that brings a sense of camaraderie to the work while staying focused on doing the job right.

Jason was drawn to NorthStar’s team-oriented culture and shared commitment to community impact. He currently supports a variety of projects, including the Cypress Apartments in Paradise, where his work on parcel mergers, records of survey, and construction staking contributes to much-needed affordable housing. Jason values surveying for its blend of outdoor exploration and technical work, and he’s motivated by the people around him who challenge him to grow.

Outside of work, Jason loves exploring new places with his wife and children. One unforgettable family moment includes a surprise elevator ride with actor Hayden Christensen at Disneyland, a story that still brings smiles. Jason is passionate about personal growth and deeply admires his father for his resilience and remarkable achievements, including climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
