Ms. Ledford has been an engineer for NorthStar Engineering since 2000. She has over 15 years of experience as a civil engineer specializing in site planning and land use entitlement applications, including lot line adjustments, parcel maps, tentative subdivision maps, and planned developments. Working as a project manager, Ms. Ledford takes projects from conceptual design through the entitlement process. She then serves as the project engineer, managing a project through the engineering improvement plan process and construction. Ms. Ledford’s experience includes many of NorthStar’s more comprehensive subdivision and planned development projects that often involve coordination of multiple agencies including planning and public works departments, responsible agencies and special districts, and technical subconsultants. With her LEED AP BD&C credential, Ms. Ledford is also involved in projects that are working toward a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. The LEED process is a third party green building certification process that covers buildings from design and construction through operations and maintenance. The process can be for new construction, retrofit/remodel, or existing building projects. Ms. Ledford has experience working within the public, private and non-profit sectors of development working toward a sustainable design.
